Frisco ranks No. 2 in U.S. for Most People Working From Home – and why that’s great news
It seems like more people are working from home, and now there’s a new study to confirm that, with Frisco ranking No. 2 on the list of 344 U.S. cities with populations over 100,000.
Remote workers in Frisco account for 39.7 percent of the total workforce, according to a new SmartAsset analysis. That makes Frisco No. 1 in Texas, and second nationally only to Cary, North Carolina, where 41.4 percent of all workers are remote.
The only other Texas cities in the national Top 20 include Allen, our Four Corners sister city, which comes in at No. 11 with 33.2 percent of its workforce identified as remote. Austin comes in at No. 19, with a remote workforce of 22.4 percent.
One of the best things about Frisco’s high ranking is that each remote worker is saving four hours per week of commuting time, compared to their in-person counterparts, according to SmartAsset.
At The Grove Frisco, that gives residents more time to enjoy amenities such as Orchard House, miles of trails, and a growing number of community parks where they can enjoy taking the kids to the playground, catching a game of pickleball, or taking a break with Fido at one of two dog parks.
The Grove Frisco is working to make life even easier for our growing remote workforce.
Some of our parks, such as Bluestem Park, have Wi-Fi coverage, so you can grab your laptop and login with fresh air and scenic views. Our first shopping center has a PJ’s Coffee Shop and other businesses where you can work or grab a quick lunch out. And our leading builders include flexible options for home offices, tech centers and other workspaces in their floor plans, along with some of the industry’s most innovative technology packages.
