“I’ll pick the community, you pick the floor plan” leads to happily ever after for the Annams in The Grove Frisco
When Manisha and Sunil Annam decided to look for a new home three years ago, they made a deal. She would choose the community and he would pick the floor plan.
With their two sons off to college, they were ready to sell their old home in Plano and look for something new and fresh. (“We are proud Longhorn parents,” Manisha is quick to add.)
A real estate agent for the past 12 years, and a North Texas resident for 24 years, Manisha was very familiar with new-home communities in the area, and it didn’t take long for her to set her sights on The Grove Frisco.
“I see a lot when I’m out touring with my clients, and I was always impressed by the amount of green space and parks in The Grove Frisco, especially compared to other neighborhoods in the area,” Manisha says.
Since she’s often driving around the area to show properties, Manisha liked The Grove Frisco’s “Four Corners” location, anchored in Frisco and surrounded by the neighboring cities of Allen, McKinney and Plano.
The Grove Frisco’s energetic and neighborly vibe was also a big plus for the Annams.
“Many new construction communities with similar HOA fees do not provide nearly the level of resident events and activities as we have at The Grove Frisco, with our dedicated Lifestyle Director,” Manisha said.
With many new residents in The Grove Frisco moving in from out of state, events like Couples Cocktail Mixology, Festival of Lights and many others throughout the year help newcomers meet their neighbors, even if they live blocks away.
“It’s so nice to go out for a walk and see a neighbor you’ve met at a social event,” says Manisha. “We hardly saw anyone outside in our old neighborhood, but The Grove Frisco is a very active community, with a nice mix of different age groups.”
After choosing The Grove Frisco, the Annams set out to find the right builder and floor plan. It didn’t take long for them to select American Legend’s Plan 609.
“This home checked all our boxes. We liked the layout of the family room, kitchen and dining areas, and a butler’s pantry was a real wish for Sunil,” Manisha says. “We also wanted a home with a split garage, and Plan 609 offered that.”
Manisha recently joined the ranks of real estate agents participating in Grove Gives, our award-winning partnership with the real estate community. With Grove Gives, The Grove Frisco donates $100 to the charity of the agent’s choice for each new home sold in The Grove Frisco. Manisha chose Meals on Wheels Collin County as her charity.
As a real estate agent specializing in investment properties, she is a strong advocate of homeownership, especially as a primary home.
“There is really no reason to wait,” she says. “No matter what the market is doing in terms of interest rates and other variables, you cannot go wrong with making an investment in your own home.”
